Article 370 of the Constitution of India that imparted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, now stands revoked. In a declaration with enormous repercussions for Jammu and Kashmir, Home Minister Amit Shah has reported in Rajya Sabha that the administration has chosen to nullification Article 370 of the Constitution which awards unique status to J&K.
